Exams are here again. It is a love - hate relationship.
We need exams to keep us focussed, however, it comes with lots of overheads, like
stress(when pupils do not know or refuse to learn or even put in the effort) and it leads to
frustration.
Sometimes I wonder whether they understood what was taught. The effort that you put in does not equal to the effort. I feel that I am all alone. It is a terrible feeling.
I understand that every child would like to pass, no one wants to fail. However, they are not
putting in the effort. I will ask them to do an exercise or written work, I feel that they are trying
to see what will I do if they don't do it write. The standard reply when they do something wrong is, I had forgotten what you said, when it was just mentioned. I think the 6 words should be banned or removed from the dictionary.
As you can read, I am frustrated. I cannot deny it. I am.
